There are reports that the new GM of the Burger King Whoppers will be arriving soon following the transfer of former GM Iceman to SMB, the franchise has been having some issues regarding GM's leaving or being replaced and it has affected the players as well as the staff as the team had been labeled "the Cursed team" because of the said issue. The Pattie Post recently visited the practice of the team and was able to get some comments of players about the issue.

Star guard Mark "the Spark" Caguioa told us that some of the players are worried that they might not have any job security with all the recent shuffling and changes of the GM spot. "some of the guys, lalo na yung mga relievers off the bench are wondering kung marami magbabago sa line-up pag may bagong GM na dumating, pero sabi namin mga beterano laro lang ng laro, play hard lang lagi at focus lang sa game dahil kasama naman talaga yan sa business na ganito di ba."

As of posting time we don't know yet who will be the new GM, regardless of the issue, coach Tim Cone has been constantly reminding his players to just focus on the game and leave the other things to management.

"I have been telling the boys not to think too much about what has been said about the team, hindi naman mahalaga yun eh, what matters is to just focus on the game and just play hard, if you play hard and continue doing a great job, I think whoever becomes the new GM will see that and definitely consider that if ever there will be changes in the line up".

Minutes after the report was posted, the new GM of BKW has been named! Klyne Encarnacion aka "Mr.Sharky" has been announced as the new GM of BKW.

We caught up with him after the press conference to ask what will he be doing regarding the issues surrounding the team.

"I just wanna thank the league first for allowing me to join and then I will talk to coach Tim regarding the team. I'm excited and thrilled about the team and the season." - Mr.Sharky

Now that the team has a new GM, we are looking forward to the games of the Whoppers and see what will happen in the coming weeks.
