Petron faces San Mig Coffee for the South Title.
Mixers expect series to go the distance
After the gruelling Globalport series, the San Mig Coffee Mixers are again up against one of the most formidable team in the PBAsim league today the Petron Blazeboosters. Odds hardly favors the Blazeboosters against the fancied Mixers squad as their elimination records shows Mixers got the edge 3-1.
But the elimination round has been long gone and over San Mig impressive records are already in the archive as evidence they were almost trashed by the Batangpier only to fall down in the decider.
Petron key players Jimmy Alapag and Jay Washington are expected to carry the load for the Blazeboosters which dispatch Rain or Shine in 6 games in separate series.
"I think the series will be won in game 7, both teams are capable of beating each other now." Said Luigi Trillo the embattled San Mig coach also stress that playing a inspired and motivated Petron Blaze is a danger to their campaign.
"Maybe they got a loads of gasoline they are running like a well oiled machine right now" he added.
Game 1 will be played at SMCM
